Film Content Creator

Now a full service agency,  the film division integrates with four others in  WMP: Events, Digital, Design and Product Design. 

Our film projects are mainly run from our office just outside Oxford, where you would be based. The range and scale of projects we undertake is very wide, with budgets for film ranging from £4k – £ 2m+. 

Regardless of the scale or location of the project, WMP have the experience, skillset and track record to deliver excellence.

The Role

We are looking for a content creator with a passion for film making and a wide range of skills to join our film department.

You will be making films for our wide range of UK and International clients. Ideally you will have experience of all stages of video production including:

  • conceptualising
  • planning
  • pre production
  • production (including location shooting, camera operation, sound and lighting)
  • post production (ingesting, logging, editing and encoding)

You’ll be experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud products – especially with Premiere as well as a thorough knowledge of current shooting and post production techniques.

You will be supporting our existing film production team and we expect you to quickly start working on your own projects too.

A bonus would be for you to have experience of other areas of video production including streaming and animation.

We’re based in beautiful Oxfordshire in barns that we have converted to a high spec, yet surrounded by open fields. You’ll be joining one of the best, friendliest teams in the business working with some fantastic clients.

Both the Founder & CEO of WMP and the MD have a filming background and remain hands on film makers, supported by an excellent tried and trusted team.

You will be working closely with both these and with the wider team to deliver the wide range of film / video projects that continue to come through the business. Depending on the project, you will be asked to play your part either fulfilling particular tasks ranging from picture research to editing and captioning right the way to fulfilling a project for a client end to end.

We are therefore looking for someone with great people skills as well as as wide a range of technical skills as possible.

The Person

Key skills and qualities we are looking for:

  • A passion for filmmaking 
  • Creativity in concept development and creative execution 
  • Highly organised and responsive with great attention to detail
  • Positivity and great team working skills
  • Ability to effectively time manage between multiple events / projects
  • Technical skills ranging from editing using Premiere, writing using Keynote and Word, budgeting on Excel, camera formats and ideally motion graphics skills eg After Effects. 

The Role

Depending on the project, key duties may include:

  • Client brief taking
  • Ideation and proposal creation
  • Involvement in pitching to client
  • Managing the client / account relationship 
  • Supporting our directors on some projects and directing others yourself 
  • Involvement in the filming process at every level from casting and location finding to the shoot itself
  • Editing films shot by other members of the team as well as your own projects
  • Managing elements of the production process such as CGI and animation 
  • Budget management

SALARY: Competitive
