King's Trust.
WMP delivers Walk the Talk, The King's Trust's annual 20-mile walking event for senior retail executives, guiding participants along a fully managed route from Hampton Court Palace to Buckingham Palace, before concluding with afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason.
Background.
The King's Trust needed a fully supported route and event operation robust enough for a day of senior executives walking 20 miles across London.
Walk the Talk was founded by retail leader Andrew Jennings OBE, and brings together CEOs, Directors and Partners from across retail and consumer businesses for a day of walking, conversation and fundraising. The event needs to be fully supported along its length, with cycle marshals, back markers, and three fully stocked feed stations, including a lunch stop in Kew, to keep participants going across the full 20 miles.
The Solution.
Delivering 20 miles of fully supported walking.
WMP handles event experience, production and logistics, event branding, venue management, route management, licensing and permits, health and safety, and crisis management, medical and staffing, for the full route from Hampton Court Palace to Buckingham Palace.
On reaching Buckingham Palace, participants are treated to afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason, giving the day a fitting close and turning a demanding 20-mile walk into a genuine networking occasion for the senior leaders taking part.
